  • Julian - Sunday, May 18.
    *** Advanced Riding Skills required for freeway riding and twisty mountain roads. Must be able to keep up with the group.
    Meet at Capistrano Playhouse at 7:30 am for an 8:00 am departure. (map) 150 miles

  • * New Member Ride - Saturday, May 24.
    Meet at OCHD Dealer for New Member Orientation at 9:00 am.
    Short Ride and back to Dealer for Hot Dogs and Soda.  Old timers are welcome!
  • Memorial Service for Lorraine Allen - Saturday, May 31.
    A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Anaheim, CA. The family will be having a reception afterwards.
    As it is a tradition with our H.O.G. Chapter, there will be a ride to the service.
    More information will be sent to Chapter members as it becomes available.
  • Solvang; Three day Overnighter:  Friday - Sunday, June 6 - 8.
    *** Experienced Riding Skills required for extended freeway riding and a variety of twisty roads through the Santa Barbara Wine Country.  Must be able to keep up with the group. 
    Meet at Sand Canyon at 6:30 am for a 7:00 am departure. (map)  700 miles

OCHOG Ride Codes - Recommended Skill Levels

Ride Codes
M = MEMBERS – For chapter members only + one guest on the member’s bike
C = CLOSED – For chapter members + one guest on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle
O = OPEN – For chapter members, National HOG members, and other guests


Riding Skill Requirements
BASIC – 1,000 riding miles required and experience at going over Ortega Hwy or similar twisty roads.
•• INTERMEDIATE – 5,000 riding miles required and experience at riding highways and twisty back-roads.
••• ADVANCED – 10,000 riding miles required and skilled at riding long distances and lengthy twisty roads. Must be able to keep up with the group.
•••• EXPERIENCED – Highly developed riding skills required to ride up to 500-mile days at sustained highway speeds, and be able to handle high to extreme twisty roads. Must be able to keep up with the group.
